Stephen C. Anderson, MBA, RN, Practice Leader, Accreditation Innovations, Joint Commission Resources, Inc.

Mr. Anderson has more than 30 years of experience in health care, including expertise in clinical and executive management, performance improvement measuring, and information technology integration with Joint Commission standards. Before joining Joint Commission Resources, Inc. full-time, Mr. Anderson served as a Joint Commission and Joint Commission International surveyor for years. He also was Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Information Access, Inc. in Seattle, Washington, a performance improvement and accreditation consulting firm.

Mr. Anderson’s consulting expertise includes performance improvement; planning for management of information; strategic business and product development; leadership education and skill building; physician/hospital relationship issues; work and process redesign; clinical credentialing, policy development and bylaws; standards and survey process education and preparation; and medication use and risk reduction.

Mr. Anderson received his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Westminster College, Salt Lake City, Utah, and his Master’s in Business Administration from University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah. His professional affiliations include American College of Healthcare Executives and American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing.
