Kathy English, RN, MSN, MBA, Consultant, Joint Commission Resources, Inc.
Ms. English has 25 years of experience in health care operations and nursing administration. She brings demonstrated expertise in nursing and administrative leadership to her role as a consultant for Joint Commission Resources, Inc. In her current capacity as Chief Operating Officer for Children’s Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska, Ms. English is responsible for planning, directing, and administering internal operations to ensure the realization of quality, cost-effective outcomes.
Ms. English’s consulting expertise includes operational assessment; patient safety assessment; medication management; infection prevention and control; environment of care; executive leadership and governing bodies; medical staff and senior executive dialogue; performance improvement; and incorporating tracer methodology and the periodic performance review as management tools.
Ms. English received her Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science in Nursing from University of Texas; and her Master’s in Business Administration from University of Nebraska. She is a Certified Nurse Administrator.
