Rosanne Passeri Farrell, RN, MS, Consultant, Joint Commission Resources, Inc.
Ms. Farrell has more than 35 years of experience in health care and brings a proven track record of accomplishment to her roles as a leader in nursing and health care management operations and as a performance improvement specialist for Joint Commission Resources, Inc. (JCR). As a senior consultant, Ms. Farrell brings educational and technical assistance to health care organizations in the areas of accreditation and regulatory affairs, quality systems implementation, and achieving organizational goals through organizational excellence. She actively works with health care organizations to develop approaches to effective oversight and management systems, especially in the areas of patient safety, National Patient Safety Goals, infection control, and performance improvement. She consults both domestically and internationally and serves as a faculty member for JCR’s Department of Education.
Ms. Farrell’s consulting expertise includes development of quality/performance improvement systems; evaluation of medication management processes; use of data to measure performance; medical error reduction; implementation of infection control practices; quality/performance improvement assistance; facilitator and team building skills development; nursing leadership education; and standards and survey process education and preparation.
Ms. Farrell received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey; her Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Administration from St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York; and her Master’s of Science in Public Administration from Russell Sage College, Albany, New York.
