The quality of care provided to critically ill patients, whether during the management of their illness or at the end of life, is of the utmost concern to nurses individually and collectively. Nurses in all practice settings and roles are faced with quandaries about the provision of humane and dignified end-of-life care. This webconference series will address the elements that constitute model end-of-life and The Joint Commission Standards that support them as well as the delivery of palliative therapies as a separate, crucial dimension of care.
