Deb Barber, RRT, RN, BSN, CLNC
Ms. Barber has extensive experience in clinical health care in the acute care settings. She has expertise in clinical supervisory management as well as extensive performance improvement experience. She joined Joint Commission Resources as a CSR Consultant in January of 2006.
Ms. Barber brings demonstrated experience as a quality management professional and Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. Her prior clinical experience includes Nursing and being an Intensive Care Registered Respiratory Therapist. She has post-anesthesia recovery team leading experience, nursing management of the cardiac step-down unit and performance improvement. She created evidence-based clinical pathways and protocols and managed quality/regulatory programs for five years before joining JCR. In this position she was responsible for the coordination of the accreditation process, continuous survey readiness, quality improvement, quality concern resolution, regulatory compliance and assisted in risk management. Debra has been an Adjunct Instructor, teaching Nursing at a technical college.
Debra graduated from Stark Technical College in Canton, Ohio as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and obtained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Arkansas. Debra also completed a certification program to become a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.
Her professional affiliations include the Arkansas Association for Healthcare Quality (AAHQ) serving on the Education Committee, the Respiratory Care Advisory Committee for the local college in oversight of the Respiratory Care Program associated with the University of Medical Science of Little Rock Arkansas.
