Beth Glassford is currently a resident of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware; and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia. She is certified as a Healthcare Executive.

Prior to joining JCR as the Pennsylvania Hospital Association’s Continuous Service Readiness Consultant, Ms. Glassford has had extensive experience in the clinical, operational, and executive aspects of hospital organizations. In her most recent role as Chief Nursing Officer, Ms. Glassford utilized performance improvement as a means to enhance and improve quality of care and patient flow process’s throughout Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Her active involvement in her organization’s operationalization of the tracer survey process will contribute to her ability to provide meaningful assistance to healthcare organizations as they strive for continuous standards compliance.

Ms. Glassford’s operational and executive experiences have ranged from small facilities to large tertiary facilities where in each of her roles she had accountability for survey preparedness and assisted organizations with successful surveys. In her roles she has had significant exposure to the Accreditation Manuals for Hospitals, Home Health, and Behavioral Health. Her areas of responsibility extended across the hospital to include such areas as rehab services, cardiac cath lab, care management, outcomes management, surgical services, respiratory care, nursing services, and the emergency department. She has played an active role in working with the medical staff to promote change and identify processes to enhance care. Her organizational wide view of operations will bring strength to her role in continuous survey readiness.
