Elizabeth A. Troxler, RN, MSN, M.Ed, CPHQ
Ms. Troxler has more than 20 years of diversified experience as a health care professional in both community hospitals and teaching health systems. Her experience includes administration, education, quality improvement, patient safety, risk management and clinical nursing.
Ms. Troxler has served as an Administrator for Quality/Risk Management and Infection Control at Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle, NY where she developed and executed strategic plans within the facility for quality improvement activities, wrote and revised policies and procedures, and partnered with leadership to assure the quality improvement program effectively measured, assessed and continuously improved the quality of care and services provided. She was also the Administrative Director of Performance Improvement, Risk Management, and Infection Control and a Patient Safety Officer and Emergency Preparedness Security Coordinator at Catskill Medical Center in Harris, NY. Some of her responsibilities included developing, implementing and sustaining systemwide continual readiness programs and activities resulting in full accreditation on The Joint Commission’s triennial survey and facilitating quality/patient safety work groups, collaboratives and design teams.
Ms. Troxler is a professional registered nurse licensed in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and a certified teacher. She was responsible for theory and clinical program components and designing and implementing curricula to assure compliance with state and federal standards in the Health Occupation program at Sullivan County BOCES in Liberty, NY. She also developed and secured grants, in collaboration with team members, for the health occupation program. Her affiliations include the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, National Association for Healthcare Quality, Sigma Theta Tau and American Society for Healthcare ealthcare Healthcare Risk Management. Ms. Troxler received a BSN from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ; MSN from the University of Phoenix, Phoenix, AZ; and a master’s in education biology from East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, PA.
