2007 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards
For the sixth consecutive year, The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety is honored to publish articles on the recipients of the annual John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards. The awards program, launched in 2002 by the National Quality Forum (NQF; http://www.qualityforum.org/) and The Joint Commission, honors John M. Eisenberg, M.D., M.B.A., director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) at the time of his death in March 2002. The awards were handed out September 27, 2007, at NQF’s Annual Policy Conference on Quality in Washington, D.C.
