Patricia Ebright, is Associate Professor at the Indiana University School of Nursing. Her research focus is centered on healthcare provider decision making in the context of actual care situations, and toward increasing understanding of the influence of work complexity on patient safety and quality of care. She was a member of the first Patient Safety Leadership Fellowship class sponsored by the National Patient Safety Foundation and consults with healthcare organizations and schools of nursing related to patient safety and nursing work complexity. Her current research on RN stacking is funded by the National Patient Safety Foundation.
