Testimonials

"We are a small hospital and have difficulty finding people resources to deal with changing requirements. The CSR Program is an excellent value for us because I would pay an extra staff person much more than my monthly CSR fee, and still would not have the level of expertise and the ready access to the information and advise our CSR Consultant provides."

"Our consultant's insights helped us successfully respond to our Survey citations. She provided a thorough education session for our managers, and she is teaching us to use the tracer methodology so we can evaluate ourselves more effectively to prepare for our next survey. I am extremely pleased with the help and guidance we've received through the CSR Program."

"I was in favor of the CSR Program when it was first presented, and since our participation, I have not been disappointed. We are able to use the CSR Program and Consultant as our own resource and continue to be in a state of readiness."

"As a small community hospital with limited staff and resources, participation in the CSR Program has provided our organization with timely information and guidance at all levels of the organization to help us be prepared on an ongoing basis to comply with JCAHO Standards, requirements and the new survey process, including the Periodic Performance Review."

"The CSR Program has provided our staff with education that has included on-site presentations and tracer activities (mock survey activities), teleconferences, and attendance at an excellent two-day annual educational seminar with JCAHO staff/speakers. We have access to our CSR Consultant in between site visits to ask questions and get reliable answers. She has provided standards clarifications as well as useful tools and guidance for standards compliance, and keeps us up-to-date on new requirements of the JCAHO."

"In my 28 years in acute care (5 as Director of HIM, the last 23 as Director of Quality Mgmt), keeping up with changes and new standards and preparing for survey has not been an easy process. The CSR Program has been the most effective way I have seen to get education to and more participation from directors/managers and staff in the organization, which is critical with the new accreditation process, at a minimal cost to the organization. Participation in the CSR Program has had a positive impact in helping our organization provide and continue to improve the quality and safety of patient care services."

"I am truly excited about the CSR Program and what it is doing for our organization. I would encourage any hospital, no matter what size, to try the CSR Program. I believe the benefits we have received have far exceeded the cost of the program."

"The CSR Program provides ongoing relevant information regarding Joint Commission Standards and the National Patient Safety Goals. Through workshops, teleconferences, networking opportunities, and most valuable for us, a knowledgeable CSR Representative, we have been provided with up-to-date information on Standards, interpretation of the Standards, and training on how to do the self-assessment effectively. The CSR Representative is available by phone and email and provides on-site visits. We have found the on-site visits to be most valuable. Having the CSR Representative available to do a mock surveys, provide training on tracer methodology, or any other area deemed necessary by the facility is invaluable. I would highly recommend being part of the CSR Program."

Diana L. Morre, RN, CPHQ

QM/UM Manager

"CSR has allowed to better coordinate educational activities associated with JCAHO standards. Our staff is better informed and it now costs us less. In addition, having the representative available for questions and consults is like having your own person JCAHO surveyor at your fingertips! We love the service as it definitely helps us to remain in a continuous state of readiness."
