Providing safe, quality care means much more than following checklists. It involves creating a culture of safety within an organization that is vigilant, accountable, focused, and connected. Issues of patient safety and quality are increasingly becoming matters of public knowledge. It is critical that leaders understand the patient safety risks in their organization and focus efforts to mitigate those risks.
Joint Commission Resources' consultants will collaborate with you to evaluate your organization's current state of patient safety utilizing a full array of evidence based practices and the Joint Commission Standards and National Patient Safety Goals
Your organization's Connections Project Team will include the JCR consultants and specific members of your client staff. Together, they will analyze the patient safety risk patterns in your organization and connect your organization's strategic vision with the perceptions and experiences of the front line staff. And together, they will identify your organization's capacity for change, systems and processes that warrant improvement, and provide a road map of the organizational improvement priorities.
The consultants will also work with your organization over time to implement changes and to measure the effectiveness of those changes and the organizations ability to sustain the improvements.
