Standards Improvement Initiative
The Joint Commission announced revisions to Accreditation Standards as defined through the Standards Improvement Initiative (SII) driven by customer input.
The goals of SII are to:
Enhance clarity and objectivity of standards and EPs
Tailor standards language to the characteristics of each program
Refine scoring and decision processes
Enhance manuals for ease of use
