Julia Napper has more than 30 years of experience in health care. During her career she has held numerous leadership positions in both community hospitals and large academic medical centers. 

 

Ms. Napper has extensive experience in program design and implementation in acute care hospitals.  She has led the development and implementation of successful case management, quality improvement, and continuous survey readiness programs. She has also overseen successful turnaround programs in health information management and admission authorization departments.  

 

Ms. Napper has been instrumental in organizationwide efforts to create and sustain a culture of patient safety and quality care. She has a strong commitment to the development of programs that are meaningful to front-line staff in the daily delivery of patient care. 

 

A lifelong learner, Ms. Napper received her associate’s degree in nursing from Angelina College, Lufkin, Texas; her bachelor of science in nursing from Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas; and her master’s degree in business administration from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas. She completed a Quality and Safety Fellowship with the National Association of Public Hospitals, as well as the Health Care Improvement Delivery course at Intermountain Healthcare, Salt Lake City, Utah. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and was named a Top 25 Innovator in Health Care by Health Imaging and IT Magazine in 2007.

Her professional affiliations include Sigma Theta Tau and the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
