2010 Emergency Management Update:
The Challenging Standards
Pre-Conference Seminar
April 7, 2010
Product Code: EDU1019
*Early Bird has been extended until March 31st!
A recent report, funded by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), says that US hospitals are significantly better prepared for disasters and public health emergencies now than they were in 2001 – and Joint Commission emergency management standards were cited as a catalyst for this improvement. *
The Joint Commission’s revised emergency preparedness standards in 2001 required hospitals to begin collaboratively planning with other health care organizations in the community. Over the last 5 years, those standards have continually evolved. So has the ability to respond to disasters of all kinds.
Plan to attend this pre-conference seminar designed to focus on current Joint Commission Emergency Management initiatives at an advanced level. Survey process updates for 2010, the 2009/2010 most Challenging Standards, strategies to meet these standards, as well as advanced solutions to ensure compliance, collaborative systems, and the highest level of preparedness will be discussed.
