Joint Commission Accreditation Summit Pre-Conference:  A Primer for Beginners

This event provides the fundamental information about the standards and the accreditation process.  The content provides the foundation for the all accreditation programs.    Faculty will take you through the process step-by-step and answer questions.


Objectives
• Describe the Comprehensive Accreditation chapters and how the manual is organized
• Define how standards are developed
• Explain the basics of accreditation concepts such as, Accreditation Participation Requirements (APR),   tracer methodology, post survey activities, accreditation decision process, and the Periodic Performance Review (PPR).
• Understand the role of the Priority Focus Process in customizing the accreditation survey.
• (HAP only): Understand how the S3-PRA data can be used as a management tool.

Target Audience
Individuals who are new to their position, unfamiliar with the accreditation process, or wish to learn more about accreditation basics and designing and managing your accreditation program.
