Annual Ambulatory Care Conference Pre-Conference for Freestanding Ambulatory Care
2010 Ambulatory Care Standards and Survey Process Update
Because accreditation principles and standards form such an important aspect of each accredited organization’s mission, all staff must be familiar with Joint Commission initiatives. Each year, Joint Commission Resources develops an adjunct conference that spotlights different aspect of the accreditation process to inform and update staff on current issues that in turn prepares them to improve and sustain their efforts toward safe, quality patient care.
This pre-conference seminar focuses on current Joint Commission initiatives that shape and guide free-standing ambulatory facilities including survey process updates for 2010 and the Standards Improvement Initiative as well as the 2010 National Patient Safety Goals. This session will feature presentations and discussion on the recently released Challenging Standards for 2009; issues and solutions for the 2009 National Patient Safety Goals; and a look ahead at the 2010 National Patient Safety Goals.
Objectives
• Examine the changes for 2010 survey process and disseminate the information within their organization
