Annual Behavioral Health Care Conference: Hope in Uncertain Times
Healthcare reform is at the forefront of the national healthcare agenda. With the passage of federal parity legislation and in anticipation of future changes, how will these impact behavioral health care services? The science of mental illness has expanded exponentially over the last 20 years and the nonscientific distinction between mental and physical illness has been put to rest. An evidence based approach to the prevention, early interventional management and promotion of well-being of those in need of behavioral health care is critical. But what will be the model of care for the 21st century?
“Hope in Uncertain Times” the theme of this years’ Annual Behavioral Health Conference, will be the catalyst that provides new learning’s, direction, insight and inspiration needed by behavioral healthcare professionals. The conference will help in your understanding of the daily challenges that you face in a new light. The conference will provide you with a diverse but focused forum of topics that will help you improve the health and welfare of your clients. Networking opportunities will include an Information Exchange forum where you will learn and share experiences of those practicing in your area of specialization. In addition, you will leave the conference with materials from faculty presentations, tools, resources, references and materials aggregated into a CD-ROM.
