Behavioral Health Care Update for Freestanding Programs - December 8, 2008, Chicago, IL

Behavioral Health Care Update: Leading the Way to Quality and Safety: Maximizing Your Accreditation Efforts for Freestanding Behavioral Health Care

Because accreditation principles and standards form such an important aspect of each accredited organization's mission, all staff must be familiar with Joint Commission initiatives.  Each year, Joint Commission Resources develops an adjunct seminar that spotlights different aspects of the accreditation requirements to inform and update staff on current issues that in turn prepares them to improve and sustain their efforts toward safe, quality client care.

The plenary session focus on changes to the scoring system and the new electronic manual, E-dition.  Setting specific sessions for freestanding behavioral health care settings and psychiatric hospitals will feature presentations and discussions on updates to accreditation requirements that go into effect January 2009.
