Overview:
The update provides an overview of the changes and updates on the 2010 standards for behavioral healthcare accreditation and the survey process. This one day fast-paced, intense session covers everything your need to know to maintain accreditation requirement compliance and survey readiness in 2010. A thorough review of what has changed chapter by chapter and an update as to the status of the National Safety Goals will be presented. As a participant you will receive the latest information on direct and indirect impact expectations of performance. In addition there will be a focused discussion on the what and why of the Standards Improvement Initiative and the challenging standards. You will learn from both a Joint Commission surveyor and the Joint Commission’s executive director for behavioral healthcare. Learn first hand from the experts, on the Joint Commission, by the Joint Commission.

Target Audience:
Individuals that work in community mental health centers; community-or–facility-based behavioral health care organizations; agencies serving children, youth and their families; addictions treatment programs; opioid treatment programs; psychiatric hospitals, and medical-surgical hospitals with psychiatric or chemical dependency programs/services
