Hospital Accreditation:  A Primer for Beginners

Basic, fundamental information about the accreditation process will be presented as building blocks for the Hospital Accreditation Essentials program which follows.  Faculty will take you through the process step by step and get your questions answered.


Objectives
• Identify locations where resources can be found in order to stay current with Joint Commission accreditation
• Describe the CAMH chapters and how the manual is organized
• Define how standards are developed
• Explain the basic accreditation concepts such as scoring, PPR, ESC, and tracer methodology

Target Audience
Individuals who are less experienced, new to their position, uneasy with the accreditation process, or those that need a little extra help getting questions answered in advance of the 2-day program.
