.
Q. What technical requirements do I need in order to participate in the live and archived video streaming?
A. See Technical Requirements section on the Web Site.
Q. What is the difference between individual, single user and multiple viewers?
A. An individual, single user is one who will register and view the live video streaming on a personal computer – one user, one viewer. Continuing education is awarded to the one individual registered as a participant. The program is designed for viewing by one person and access is granted according to that principle. It is unlawful to share the URL with those who have not purchased a registration; our video stream hosting server tracks usage. It is, in all likelihood, outside your own organization's Code of Conduct to knowingly share a URL with others, and would be a violation of your organization's business ethics as required by Joint Commission standards.
The multiple viewers option enables an organization to purchase the rights to “display” the live video streaming of the seminar/conference in a “conference” room (via one computer) where the designated number of participants can view and attend the program. Two or more viewers from an organization are considered “multiple viewers” and are eligible for tiered pricing.
If the “multiple viewers” option is chosen, the organization will need to designate an individual to be a point person with JCR Education Production Staff. That individual will coordinate viewing the seminar/conference at their organizations.
Q. What if we want multiple people to participate – how is pricing determined?
A. JCR has a tiered pricing structure for multiple participants that will be viewing the live/archived video streaming (in one organizational location).
Pricing is based on the following tiered approach and actual price is dependent the length of the program (i.e. one day, two days, etc.):
i. Single live/archived viewer - price for one viewer
ii. Multiple viewers – 2 – 15 viewers – price per viewer
iii. Multiple viewers – 16 – 25 viewers – price per viewer
iv. Multiple viewers – 26 – 35 – price per viewer
v. Over 36 viewers – please contact JCR Education Department
Q. How can we get Continuing Education credit (CEs) for multiple viewers?
A. If multiple viewers (See What is the difference between individual, single user and multiple viewers?) want credit for Continuing Education, they must be registered with the other participants from their organization at the same time. Each person registered will receive individual login information to complete an evaluation after the program and receive their certificate.
If multiple participants will be viewing the Live Video Streaming or Seminar On Demand (in one organizational location) and they DO NOT want CEs, then there is nothing more to do other than participate.
Q. Can I get CEs with the purchase of a Live Video Streaming or a Seminar On Demand program?
A. CEs will not be available for every program. Please refer to the product information on the website to verify availability of CEs. At this time, we offer CEs for almost all “On Demand” programs.
Q. Will I be able to ask questions during the program?
A. Live Video Streaming Programs: Yes, there will be an option to e-mail questions to the faculty during the program via your computer. You will be notified prior to the event of the e-mail address. If you are displaying the video streaming in a conference room, it is suggested that you have an alternate computer with e-mail access to assist in asking questions during the live event. Questions will be answered on a first-come-first-served basis. Faculty may be able to address any questions that cannot be addressed during the program via email.
On Demand Programs: No, however, some archived events may have a pre-scheduled follow up Question and Answer session. For other events, faculty may provide their email address to answer follow up questions.
Q. How long will we have access to the archived program?
A. Depending on the program, anywhere from 60 days to 6 months from the first date the program is available for sale and access. This information can be verified by calling Customer Service at 877-223-6866.
Q. How long am I able to access an educational seminar if I attend the Live Video Streaming event?
A. The purchasers of the "Live Video Streaming" (meaning viewing and participating on the day of the event) do not have access to the recordings after the event occurs. For some events there will be an "On Demand" version available for purchase after the event for a specified period of time.
Q. Can I video tape/copy the sessions and use for future education purposes?
A. JCR Education does not grant anyone or organization the authority or rights to video, tape or record any of our educational events. Our materials are copyrighted – recording of such is a violation of that copyright.
Q. Can I share the URL with my coworkers or friends?
A. Unauthorized sharing of video stream content via internet access through the sharing of user names and passwords or via alternative media through the sharing of said media is restricted by law and subject to copyright infringement.
Q. Is the On Demand program a downloadable video or a CD that is shipped to me?
A. No. The On Demand programs are part of our Health LMS (Learning Management System). Registered participants will be able to log-in to this web-based training to get materials, watch the presentations, take pre and post tests where applicable and print their Continuing Education Certificate.
Q. Will I be able to start and stop the presentation if there are interruptions?
A. For the Live Video Streaming, you will see the video as it is happening. There is no way to go back or restart. For On Demand programs, the viewer has control of the recorded material and watch at any time, as well as start and stop or skip to different parts of the program.
