Project Hospitals
The cornerstone of the Prevention of Pressure Ulcer project is translating evidence-based findings into excellent care at the patient’s bedside and working with specific health care organizations in implementing processes to ensure this care. The Nurse Safety Scholar-in-Residence has reviewed the evidence and developed practices for preventing pressure ulcers. The evidence-based practices have been brought to four health care organizations.
The five selected project hospitals include:
- Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY
- Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, VA
- Hahnemann University Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA
- St. Vincent’s Health System, Birmingham, AL
- UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA
