Demonstration Project Hospitals
Announcing selected demonstration sites
The cornerstone of the Prevention of Pressure Ulcer project is translating evidence-based findings into excellent care at the patient’s bedside and working with specific health care organizations in implementing processes to ensure this care. Irene M. Jankowski, Nurse Safety Scholar-in-Residence, has worked for several months reviewing the evidence and developing practices for preventing pressure ulcers. The evidence-based practices have been brought to four health care organizations.
The four selected sites include:
• Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY
• Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Richmond, VA
•
Hahnemann University Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA
• St. Vincent’s Health System, Birmingham, AL
The initial site visits have been completed and each site has a dedicated team working on issues specific to their organization. Progress updates on each team’s project will be posted as they become available - simply follow the link to each site’s page.
