Response to the complimentary Antibiotic Resistance Toolkit has been phenomenal - thank you! I am writing today to announce I will begin using this blog to reach out to all of you who have an interest in reducing antibiotic resistance in your organizations. Expect a post from me at least weekly and watch for an announcement of a "live blog" day coming soon when I will be online waiting to respond to your comments and questions. Each organization has their unique processes, proving there is not always one best way of providing safe, quality care. Tell me, how does your organization report information about the status of antibiotic resistance and MDROs?Thanks,Barb

Toolkit Materials

If you haven't already, remember to click here to access your FREE toolkit materials. The toolkit will assist hospitals of all sizes and at all stages of MDRO control program development. For those who have downloaded the material, don't stop there! Having access to the material is great, but the hard part is actually beginning to use it to make positive changes in your organization. Don't go it alone, though. Successful implementation of any new initiative takes support and commitment from staff in many departments at all levels of your organization. We encourage you to share copies of each chapter with the appropriate individuals or departments.
You should also know that many other organizations are embarking on the same mission, and JCR will be there for you every step of the way, with more tools, audioconferences, online learning modules, pocket guides, conferences, consulting, and more. Stay tuned to this spot for more information.
For those of you who've begun the process of preventing and combatting MDROs, how's it going so far?
