Step-by-Step Instructions for Activating Your Individual Online Subscription Through IngentaConnect

1. Go to https://www.ingentaconnect.com/register/personal.

2. On the "Personal Registration" page, please complete all of the required fields. This includes creating a unique User name and Password. Click "Register".

3. On the next screen, you will see the following text: "You may now personalize features under 'My Ingenta' such as:"
First, click "Personal Subscriptions". Then, click the "Add" tab.

4. Using either "Publication Title" (The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety) or "Publisher Name" (Joint Commission Resources), find the entry for The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety.

5. Check the box to the left of the The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety title.

6. In the larger box to the right of the title, enter your 8 digit Subscription Number. Your subscription number will be sent to you via e-mail within 24 hours of placing your order. 

7. Click "Add," which appears directly above the subscription number box.   Your subscription activation will now be sent through Ingenta to be processed. This initial activation should take less than one hour. 

When you next visit IngentaConnect, sign in with your User name and Password. Under "Manage my Ingenta" click on "Personal subscriptions" to see TheJoint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety. When it appears in this list, you have complete and unrestricted access to this information. Simply click on The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety and go to the issue and/or article that you wish to read.
