TJC/CMS Update: A Focus on Anesthesia Guidelines

Join us for this webinar discussing Joint Commission and CMS requirements for Anesthesia Services

June 13, 2012 (DEP169)
12:00 - 1:00 pm Central Time

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has Conditions of Participation (CoP’s) that health care organizations must meet, from a federal perspective, in order to participate in the Medicare & Medicaid programs.  The Joint Commission has standards which focuses on systems and processes critical to the safety and quality of care organizations provide.  Many organizations are challenged with keeping up to date on new similarities and differences between both programs.

Join us for this 60 minute webinar to hear how CMS guidelines and related TJC standards impact anesthesia services provided by your organization.  Our expert faculty will help you assess your organization’s compliance with these requirements and identify practices that increase positive outcomes for patients.

At the conclusion of this event, participants will be able to:

- Identify CMS Anesthesia requirements
- Evaluate where to make changes in existing compliance policies to meet current Anesthesia guidelines

Intended Audience:
•  Physician Leaders
•  Nurse Leaders
•  Risk Managers
•  Quality Improvement Professionals
•  Accreditation Managers
