The Joint Commission's Division of Healthcare Quality Evaluation

footer_logo_JCThe Division of Healthcare Quality Evaluation provides web-based evaluation, measurement and support to the JCR’s HEN hospitals. These Joint Commission measurement experts developed and maintain our Internet-based Data Management System, and assist with interpreting hospitals’ measurement of adverse events and readmissions.

EnCompass, LLC

EnCompass_LogoEnCompass, LLC, facilitates collaborative learning events and specific evaluation activities with the JCR’s HEN hospitals, applying principles of Appreciative Inquiry and Evaluation—that means learning from hospitals that achieved success so we can pass on their lessons to other hospitals. EnCompass is also writing case studies to describe how these hospitals achieved success with reducing harm.

Northwestern University's Patient Safety Education Program

NU_Logo_purpleNorthwestern University’s Patient Safety Education Program provides general education about fundamentals of patient safety, hospital culture, leadership, clinical teamwork, and how to include patients in hospital activities. Northwestern’s experience with teaching fundamentals of patient safety is well recognized.

Healthcare Team Training, LLC

HTTlogoHealthcare Team Training, LLC, provides education on teamwork, including giving the JCR HEN hospitals access to the TeamSTEPPS® website, where there are many tools and resources about how to create effective teams—including StoryCare®. StoryCare’s web-based audio simulation vignettes are focused on actual adverse events, which are used to prompt team discussion and action for change.

Social Interventions and Research, Inc.

SocialInterventionsLogoSocial Interventions and Research, Inc., provides services related to conducting and interpreting results of surveys that describe the hospital’s organizational culture for patient safety. In addition, its team is conducting a small project to learn more about how reducing harm saves money.
