Mr. Magliocchetti has worked in hospital administration, health care facilities engineering, clinical engineering, medical research and health care consulting for 34 years. He has been a member of Rhode Island Hospital’s executive leadership team since December 2000 and currently serves as vice president of facilities services. In this role, Mr. Magliocchetti is administratively responsible for day-to-day operations in the areas of facilities maintenance and plant operations, in-house construction, environmental services, central laundry services for the Lifespan System, hospital security, campuswide parking, facilities safety management, environmental compliance, emergency preparedness, food and nutrition services and hospital office services.

 

Prior to joining the Rhode Island Hospital’s executive leadership team, Mr. Magliocchetti served in facilities leadership positions at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston, Massachusetts, Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Massachusetts and Boston City Hospital. He has also provided environment of care-related consultative services to multiple hospital clients in the New England area through a team of facilities and clinical engineering consultants where he developed and operated a health care consulting and service company, HealthTech, while serving on the senior leadership team at Roger Williams Medical Center.

 

Throughout his career Mr. Magliocchetti has led multiple health care organizations through accreditation, regulatory compliance, life safety, safety and security management, emergency preparedness and environmental compliance programs. He has also provided the necessary leadership for numerous large- and medium-size health care building programs and operations effectiveness improvement initiatives.

 

Mr. Magliocchetti graduated with a bachelor’s of science in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s of science in biomedical engineering and a master’s of engineering in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in St. Troy, New York.

 

In addition to his professional experiences, Mr. Magliocchetti created a humanitarian organization in 1988, the American Medical Resources Foundation. This non-profit organization provides used, but functional, donated medical equipment and medical equipment training services to developing nations worldwide. He serves as a volunteer president and board member for the American Medical Resources Foundation.
