Rebekah (Becky) Leitner, RN, BSN, MBA, CPHQ

Rebekah Leitner has more than 30 years of experience in health care and brings a wealth of experience in leadership, clinical operations, education, quality and case management to her role as a CSR consultant.

Prior to joining JCR, Ms. Leitner served as both the Chief Nursing Officer and Quality/Risk Director for seven years in a start-up surgical hospital in Dallas, Texas. In these roles, she provided leadership and management in the implementation of best practices/quality initiatives and Joint Commission regulatory compliance. Previously, Ms. Leitner implemented utilization review/care coordination in a new hospital in the Dallas area.

She has been instrumental in organizationwide efforts to create and sustain a culture of patient safety and quality care. Organizational accomplishments achieved under Ms. Leitner’s leadership include:

  • Significant improvements in patient, staff and medical staff satisfaction
  • Redesigned expansion of surgical and emergency care services
  • Improvements in patient flow of surgical services
  • Improvements in staff education and competency assessment
  • Implemented OPPE and FPPE medical staff processes


Ms. Leitner has had numerous patient and staff/medical staff teaching experiences in academic health care systems throughout the country. Her clinical experiences include newborn and neonatal ICU, perinatal education, and certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). She established a regionally recognized hospital-based lactation center that included an educational program for nursing students and residents. She has developed various educational materials and programs for both patients and staff.

Ms. Leitner received her bachelor’s of science in nursing from Olivet Nazarene University, Bourbonnais, Illinois, and her master’s in business administration from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.

Her professional affiliations include Sigma Beta Delta, Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, National Association of Healthcare Quality and North Texas Association of Healthcare Quality.
