Overview:
This new program provides you with a framework to apply concepts and tips for analyzing patient safety events. Don’t miss the only 2017 offering of this event.
 
What You Will Learn:
Through interactive dialogue and case studies, you will gain insight on managing patient safety risk. Program topics cover the common “how to’s” of proactively approaching and analyzing the design or redesign of patient-centered system(s) in your organization. Also, applying human factors to event analysis is included. Please join us for the initial offering of this event, as expert faculty help you review and apply steps to benefit your patients.

Program Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify patient safety events and attributes of a learning organization.
  2. Apply concepts of patient safety science to reduce the risk of patient harm.
  3. Recall key tips for applying human factors to event analysis and quantifying risk by the safety assessment code (SAC).
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions in reducing risk to patient harm.
  5. Apply concepts of patient safety science to presented case studies in this program.

These materials will continue to be available to you during and after your program as well.
  • If you prefer hard-copy program materials, please print before the program and bring with you. There will be no hard-copy program materials provided on site, other than the agenda itself.
  • Full-text requirements books (with relevant Joint Commission standards for the program) will no longer be provided, either in hard copy or electronically. Please plan accordingly if you want to reference the standards during the program (for example, bring your own manual or plan to access E-dition).

Payments submitted by check take up to 14 days to process.  If you are registering for a program less than 14 days away, please pay with a credit card or your registration may not be received in time and your seat may not be reserved.

Substitutions, Transfers, and Cancellation Policy
Registration is nontransferable between JCR education programs due to variability in program sponsors. If you find that you cannot attend, you may send an alternate in your place.  Please send us the alternate’s full name, title, credentials, address, phone and e-mail address.  In the event of a cancellation, your registration fee, less a $100 processing fee, is refundable, if written notice of cancellation is faxed no later than 30 days prior to the program date.  All alternate or cancellation information should be emailed to rraudys.@jcrinc.com. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this date or for any no shows. JCR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

Joint Commission Resources reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to an insufficient number of registrants or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program must be cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded in full to each registrant. You may verify current program status on our website or by calling JCR Customer Service at 877-223-6866.  Neither Joint Commission Resources nor The Joint Commission is responsible for a registrant's travel expenses in the event a program is cancelled.
