Because regulations and guidelines do change, it is a good idea to check for updates from your state, county or city on a regular basis and always before registering for a specific course to make sure it will be acceptable for your license/certification renewal

Summary of Continuing Education contact hours awarded for this program:

  • ACCME: 1 hour for each session
  • ANCC: 1 hour for each session
  • ACPE: 1 hour for each session
  • ACHE: 1 hour for each session
  • CA Board of Registered Nursing: 1 hour for each session
  • CJCP: 1 CJCP credit hour towards recertification for each session
  • IACET: 0.1 CEU for each session

The Joint Commission is accredited to provide continuing education credit/hours by the following organizations:

JOINT ACCREDITATION (ACCME, ANCC, ACPE):
The Joint Commission is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

ACHE:
The Joint Commission is authorized to award X hours or pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification, in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting an application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.

CA Board of Registered Nursing:

Joint Commission Resources is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 6381 for the listed contact hours.

CJCP® (Certified Joint Commission ProfessionalTM):
To obtain CJCP credit hours, individuals must first be certified before they may start acquiring CJCP credit hours. CJCP credit hours will not be retroactive. CJCP professionals are required to maintain 30 CJCP credit hours within their three-year certification period.

IACET:
The Joint Commission is an authorized provider to provide continuing education units (CEUs) for select educational programs by The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).  CEUs are accepted by many companies, boards and organizations for specialty licenses and certifications.  For further information about IACET, check the website (www.IACET.org). Participants are strongly encouraged to check with their specific state regulatory boards, employers or other agencies to confirm that educational programs taken from the Joint Commission for IACET CEUs will be accepted.

Criteria for Successful Completion:

  • Full attendance at every session is a prerequisite for receiving full continuing education credits
  • Completion of program evaluation form
  • NOTE: For Pharmacists, you will be required to provide your NAPB # and DOB (MM/DD)
