Dr. Becky Poths’ consulting expertise includes 25 years of infection control and epidemiology; strategic/tactical planning; case management for patients being transported internationally; staffing requirement determination for more than 42,000 personnel using human factors engineering; leadership development and education; standards and survey process education and preparation. Dr. Poths has conducted consultations and/or educational programs in the US, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. She was published in the British Journal of Infection Control. Dr. Poths retired from the United States Air Force prior to joining Joint Commission Resources.

Dr. Poths is a Certified Yellow Belt. With this designation, she supports The Joint Commission’s activities associated with establishing and sustaining a Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) culture. As a Certified Yellow Belt, she is trained in the foundational concepts and tools of problem solving and makes improvements to better meet customer expectations and organization objectives.
