Ms. Barbara M. Soule is a consultant for Joint Commission Resources and Joint Commission International. In this role, she provides consulting services for infection prevention and control in international settings, across the continuum, including program assessment, professional development and mentoring, education and training, and product development for the field.

Ms. Soule has broad experience practicing and teaching about infection prevention and control and has published extensively in this area, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the first APIC Curriculum for Infection Prevention and Control published by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) and co-editor for The APIC/JCR Infection Prevention and Control Workbook, Second Edition and Third Edition. She has consulted with various organizations to lead strategic thinking and improve team dynamics and outcomes and has consulted in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
