Event Description:

It is important to attend the Ambulatory Accreditation Essentials in 2019, a two-day seminar presented by ambulatory surveyors. Not only does this program present challenging ambulatory care standards, it offers ideas and solutions. A variety of issues related to compliance with infection control and safe medication handling expectations in both primary and specialty care settings will be discussed. The impact of the SAFER™ Matrix on Ambulatory surveys and an update on challenges facing outpatient hospital-based sleep labs is included.  Please join us!

Who Should Attend?

RNs, Physicians, and other clinicians and non-clinicians like Administrators, Risk Managers, Facility Managers, Patient Safety Officers, etc., who may direct, coordinate and/or implement processes for compliance with AmbulatoryHeath Care Accreditation survey and/or standard processes, as warranted by their job description and/or job responsibilities. They may work in these types of Ambulatory Heath Care Settings: Ambulatory surgery, community health, dental settings, primary care, office-based surgery, diagnostic imaging, telehealth, convenient care, urgent care, kidney care, sleep services or other ambulatory care settings.

Thank you for supporting JCR’s paperless initiative for our education programs. Here are some tips for your learning success:
  • Bring your fully charged electronic device (laptop, tablet, etc.) with you to the program so that you can access the program materials and take notes.
  • Download/access program materials from the event app. 1-2 weeks before your program, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the program materials. And, those materials will continue to be available to you post-program, on both the event app and the JCR Learning Management System (LMS).
  • If you prefer hard-copy program materials, please print before the program and bring with you. There will be no hard-copy program materials provided on site, other than the agenda itself.
  • Full-text requirements books (with relevant Joint Commission standards for the program) will no longer be provided, either in hard copy or electronically. Please plan accordingly if you want to reference the standards during the program (for example, bring your own manual or plan to access E-dition).  
  • Come ready to learn, network with peers, and be prepared for 2019 compliance challenges.

Payments submitted by check take up to 14 days to process.  If you are registering for a program less than 14 days away, please pay with a credit card or your registration may not be received in time and your seat may not be reserved.

Substitutions, Transfers, and Cancellation Policy
Registration is nontransferable between JCR education programs due to variability in program sponsors. If you find that you cannot attend, you may send an alternate in your place.  Please send us the alternate’s full name, title, credentials, address, phone and e-mail address.  In the event of a cancellation, your registration fee, less a $100 processing fee, is refundable, if written notice of cancellation is faxed no later than 30 days prior to the program date.  All alternate or cancellation information should be emailed to rraudys@jcrinc.com for Hospital CMS Basics, Maximizing Hospital Tracer Activities, and Hospital Accreditation Essentials or Marcia White at mwhite@jcrinc.com for Environment of Care Base Camp and Exploring the Life Safety Chapter. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this date or for any no shows. JCR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

Joint Commission Resources reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to an insufficient number of registrants or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program must be cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded in full to each registrant. You may verify current program status on our website or by calling JCR Customer Service at 877-223-6866.  Neither Joint Commission Resources nor The Joint Commission is responsible for a registrant's travel expenses in the event a program is cancelled. Participants should also not depend on registering on site, as some programs may be sold out; in these instances, neither Joint Commission Resources nor The Joint Commission is responsible for travel expenses.  Participants are encouraged to purchase refundable tickets in case a program is cancelled or rescheduled. Participants should also be aware that most airline tickets, including nonrefundable or discounted tickets, can be reissued within one year from the date the original ticket was issued.
