This one-day educational program is designed to provide only Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) with key knowledge for managing the difficult aspects of Medicare’s Conditions for Coverage (CfCs)! By placing the Center for Medicare and Medicaid’s (CMS) lens on challenging issues associated with ASC settings, the lens focuses on sticky points that organizations struggle with CMS and strategies for compliance related to: classifying Ambulatory vs. Business occupancy classification, physical environment requirements, patient rights, performance improvement, infection control, and emergency management, etc. Case studies will be presented to enhance compliance tips. And, how risk-based methodology is to be utilized, along with other strategies, for addressing your organization’s unique needs. Don’t miss this NEW and only 2018 offering like it for ASCs that is given by past State Surveyors who performed Medicare surveys on behalf of CMS.

Overview:

This one day, multi-faculty program is designed to provide health care professionals, like yourself, with strategies and insights to help your organization successfully achieve The Joint Commission’s new End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)requirements (for future accreditation).  Ambulatory care accreditation for ESRDs demonstrates to professionals and the public your organization’s commitment to the provision of high quality ESRD services.  This program will provide you with an overview of The Joint Commission’s ESRD-specific requirements, Medicare’s ESRD Conditions for Coverage (CFCs), and the guidance you need for your organization to become familiar with the ESRD-specific requirements through The Joint Commission! Currently, The Joint Commission applied for deeming authority by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) related to ESRD for ambulatory care accreditation. In turn, this program gives you the opportunity to hear the current state of ESRD patient safety, care delivery processes, quality measures, etc., as seen through the lens of The Joint Commission and CMS.

Who Should Attend?

Healthcare professionals interested in Joint Commission’s ERSD- requirements (for future accreditation) should attend! You may be a novice,advanced beginner, or an expert wanting to obtain knowledge and/or skillson Joint Commission’s standards for ESRD. Payments submitted by check take up to 14 days to process.  If you are registering for a program less than 14 days away, please pay with a credit card or your registration may not be received in time and your seat may not be reserved.

Substitutions, Transfers, and Cancellation Policy
Registration is nontransferable between JCR education programs due to variability in program sponsors. If you find that you cannot attend, you may send an alternate in your place.  Please send us the alternate’s full name, title, credentials, address, phone and e-mail address.  In the event of a cancellation, your registration fee, less a $100 processing fee, is refundable, if written notice of cancellation is faxed no later than 30 days prior to the program date.  All alternate or cancellation information should be faxed to 630-792-4406. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received after this date or for any no shows. JCR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances.

Joint Commission Resources reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to an insufficient number of registrants or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program must be cancelled, the registration fee will be refunded in full to each registrant. You may verify current program status on our website or by calling JCR Customer Service at 877-223-6866.  Neither Joint Commission Resources nor The Joint Commission is responsible for a registrant's travel expenses in the event a program is cancelled.
