BACKGROUND

  • Consultant with Joint Commission Resources for twelve years, with in depth experience in application of Joint Commission standards for the Hospital, Critical Access Hospital, Behavioral Health, and Ambulatory program standards 

  • Utilizes clinical experience gained as a Critical Care Nurse, as well as operational background and Yellow Belt certification while consulting for organizations pursuing Disease Specific-Care Certification with special emphasis on Comprehensive Stroke Centers, Primary Care Stroke Centers, Advanced Heart Failure, and Ventricular Assist Device Destination therapy.  

  • Recognized leader with special focus on enhancing operational processes and the identification of quality and safety vulnerabilities. 

Ms. Beth Glassford, provides expert counsel for continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS, and operational process improvement opportunities for non-hospital and hospital organizations. A certified Joint Commission Yellow Belt, Ms. Glassford utilizes her knowledge to assist organizations to improve patient safety and quality at acute care hospitals, long term acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, ambulatory facilities, retail clinics, and post-acute rehab units. Ms. Glassford is an experienced consultant who has worked with academic teaching centers, children’s hospitals, behavioral health facilities, various ambulatory organizations, and community hospitals.  

Prior to Joint Commission Resources, Ms. Glassford served as Chief Nursing Officer at Lancaster Regional Medical Center, where she had responsibility for nursing as well as oversight of rehab services and the post-acute rehab unit. Prior to that, she served as the Assistant Director of Nursing at a Rehab Hospital in York, PA. Her operational and clinical experience has played a key role in assisting organizations that seek initial accreditation status and in consulting with those striving for quality performance improvements.
