Joint Commission Resources appoints Wayne A. Murphy as field director of U.S. Consulting Services

(OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois, January 11, 2022) – Joint Commission Resources, Inc. (JCR) announces the appointment of Wayne A. Murphy, RRT-NPS, MPS, as its new field director of U.S. Consulting Services. Murphy will report to Kristine Slepicka, MBA, executive director, Global Consulting Services, JCR.

In this new role, Murphy will be oversee consultants for the provision of on-site consultation, education and technical assistance services to health care organizations. Additionally, he will provide direction and leadership to consultants while focusing on the quality, delivery and overall growth of JCR’s domestic consulting services. 

“Joint Commission Resources is pleased to welcome Wayne to his new leadership role,” said Slepicka. “He brings a wealth of knowledge from his more than 35 years of health care management experience in clinical, acute and post-acute care settings. This will help further enhance the domestic consulting services we provide to health care organizations across the country.”

Murphy has been with The Joint Commission enterprise for 28 years. Most recently, he was a field director at The Joint Commission where he led a team of 45 surveyors. He also was a surveyor for The Joint Commission’s ambulatory and home care settings.

Murphy received his Master of Science degree in Professional Studies/Health Services Administration and his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration from The New School, New York. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and is registered and certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
