Richard Menzia

Director of Learning Technology

Richard Menzia has been with the Joint Commission enterprise for over 15 years and is Greenbelt certified in Six-Sigma. Before moving to JCR Richard lead the education department in Accreditation and Certification operations managing the education for new field representatives as well as their annual conference.


After joining the JCR team Richard helped e-Products continue to grow by implementing new training strategies and managing client relations. Richard then moved to the Global Education team as the Director of Education Technology and Innovation where he spearheaded the launch of a new learning management system which optimized online education delivery for external customers as well as operationalizing JCR’s new Digital Learning Center.


Richard holds a Master’s degree in Education from Central Connecticut State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Film and Media Production from Columbia Collage. He has received numerous awards including the Andrew Thomas Award, the Presidents Challenge awards from The Joint Commission, and the National Pacemaker award from the Associated Press. He is very active as a volunteer in his community including his local PTA and the National Elks Foundation.
