Content Description: The first webinar in this 4-part series will examine the on-site review process for Primary Stroke Center (PSC) Certification. Faculty will discuss the review team, and the steps necessary to begin certification. Learn about the day of the certification review and the objectives of the tracer methodology review process (including individual tracer activity and system tracer data-use). Learn how the review activities impact the scoring and the assessment of compliance with the standards, and their relationship to the quality and safety of patient care. Proactively prepare your center for review, learn from your peers through the 10-minute Q&A session, and be ready for your on-site review day(s).

Content Description: This webinar will focus on performance measurement for Primary Stroke Center (PSC) Certification. Informational handouts will be provided on the eight stroke (STK) measure requirements previously in place. However, faculty for this presentation will focus on the two new performance measures that became effective in January 2019. Hear a detailed review of the Stroke Outpatient (STK-OP-1) Measure, on Door to Transfer to Another Hospital, and Comprehensive Stroke (CSTK-01) Measure, on National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Score for Ischemic Stroke Patients. Faculty will provide practical guidance on how to collect data, how the measures are reflected for ongoing performance improvement efforts, and what the Joint Commission has learned from Centers since the launch of the measures.
